Garba – Raas – Bhangra

Bhangra is a form of dance that originated in the Punjab regions of Pakistan and India.

Garba is a form of dance that originated in the Indian state of Gujarat, it is typically formed around the Goddess Shakti, and also during the nine-day Navarathri festival.

Raas, or Dandiya Raas, also originated in the State of Gujarat. It is the featured dance during Navarathri.

Every year the Saint Louis University Indian Student Association puts on this event, free to SLU students, and it is well-received by everyone in the community. The event features: dancing, music, and mango lassi.
